This is an advanced topic and only applies if you are posting menus for more than one Location and multiple Locations share same or similar menu.

Master Menu Template works as a single menu that can be applied to/ used by multiple Locations. To setup a Master Menu Template, go to Menu > Menu Templates

Click on the Create New button as shown in the image below to start setting up a Menu Template.

This will open a page as shown below. Enter name and description for your Master Menu template and click Save.

Once you save, the menu calendar will become visible to let you start setting up monthly menus. You can start dragging and dropping items on to the calendar to setup your menu.

Now that you have setup your Master Menu, you can now go to your Location Menu have it reference the Master Menu that you just setup.

Click on Menu > Location Menu to go to the Location Menu setup page. In the Master Templates field, select the master menu you want to use for the location. You will need to do this step for all Locations that should be using your master menu template.

Important Note: You also have the ability to setup additional menu items at Location level, even though it is using a Master Menu. The final menu for the Location will be merged menu from the master menu and the Location's own menu.

Use the Preview button, highlighted in the image above, to preview the merged menu which is what the customers for that Location will see when placing their orders.

Another Important Note: Each Location will inherit the menu from the Master menu for each month as we go. So as you progress along the year, you just need to post items for corresponding months on the same Master Menu.

As an example, June 2021 of the Location Menu will inherit menu posted for June 2021 of the Master Menu. Similarly July 2021 of location menu inherits menu items from July 2021 of Master Menu and so on.
